Santa Cruz Complete Bikes

For the 2010 season you'll be able to get complete Santa Cruz off the show room floor. Nice.
I am just finalising my first order of complete bikes, no surprises really, most of the completes will be Blur LTc's.
Most popular set up for NZ is; carbon black frame, RP23 rear shock, X9 AM build kit and Revelation 150 with the tapered steerer.
My personal bike will be just like the one in the 2010 Santa Cruz catalogue, steel blue, X0 AM, Rp23 and Rev150 fork. I can't wait.
Don't forget, you can download new 2010 catalogue here; It won't be there forever, so get it now.
Also you can configure your own bike on the Santa Cruz bike builder, click here go on, you know you want to. So many options, which to choose.

Spoke Magazine Reviews the Nomad

You better RUSH on out and purchase the new issue of Spoke Magazine (I'm waiting by the mail box for mine). Other than its a great read, this months issue has a review of the Nomad (generation 2). I've been raving about mine for a long time now, great to see Caleb is raving about his too. If you are good at reading low-res pictures the review is above, but it's lot easier just to go and buy the new issue Spoke.
Go on, it's got to be good for you.
Also (all going to plan) if you click on the banner below, you will go to the spoke readers survey...or you could type http://www.spokemagazine.com/ into your new funky browser that you're using.

Dirk Peters Bromont World Cup Report.
I was feeling very confident with my second place at Mont Sainte Anne and was now keen to try for the win in Bromont. The course was very different from the previous week, it had several rocky sections but not a lot of roots. It also had one main climb containing several really steep pinches and the rest of the course was undulating and had lots of single track. Pre-riding the course I spent a lot of time exploring different lines and getting to know the course as well as possible. It was a great experience riding around with the pros, watching lines they were taking and seeing how they went about their training.Rain during the week made the track muddy, luckily it had dried out well for our race on Sunday morning. We started right at the bottom of the climb so it was tough for the first part as every one wanted to get to the top of the hill at the front because there wasn't a lot of passing in the second half of the track. I was third after the first lap but I passed and dropped the American rider who had been in second up the climb and set out to try and catch the leader. One of the Canadian riders caught up near the end of the second lap but I went hard up the climb again and opened a gap. He was very fast through the single track but each time we hit the hill I increased the margin. Although I was racing as hard as I could I couldn't catch the leader and after five laps I finished in second place three minutes behind the winner who had repeated his performance in Mont Sainte Anne.
I am pretty pleased with my two second places in Canada and I really enjoyed the experience and had a lot of fun. The trip was worth going on just to watch the men's races as they are amazing to see. Now I am looking forward to fine tuning my training and improving on my weaknesses for the World Championships in Australia in early September.
Thanks
Dirk Peters
